About the Programme

The Q3 Internship Programme aims to bring highly qualified and motivated interns with deverse backgrounds to work on projects across different International Development areas. These include:

- Learn how locally-led community empowerment projects are run and how to put internation development theory into practice
- Work in partnership with local NGOs and local communities on initiatives aligned to key international development and global health priorities
- Grow your intercultural competency by collaboratin with multination populations to achieve their objectives. In your free time, get to know other interns, relax, travel and visit new exciting places!

1) During the first two weeks of the internships programme, interns will learn about existing projects with the NGO they are assigned to. This time will focus on completeing the mandatory training and gaining the skills necessary to contribute to the project. You will learn to understand the needs and objectives of the communities you'll be working with and find out how culture impacts the implementation and day-to-day operations of all our projects.

2) In the following two-six weeks you will travel to the country where the NGO operates for some in-field work and research. You will be embedded within the project team and work alongside the team, engaging directly with communities and the project beneficiaries and you will learn key primary research and data collection skills.

3) In the final weeks fo the internship you will work closely with the NGO to analyse the data collected and develop programme-wide recommendations that will further improve the work of the NGOs you are supporting. We organise everything for an all-inclusive fee of £3,500. Accommodation and meals included.

Internships facts:

The Q3 Strategy Internship offers you practical and in-field work that contributes to real change, with an NGO based in one of our host countries across Africa, Asia Pacific and South America

The duration of the internship is for a period of 6 weeks (possibility of extension for up to 3 months). The programmes includes a minimum of 2 weeks spent in-field working directly with communities.

Open to full-time or part-time undergraduates and postgraduate students and to young professionals looking for a change in career.

Internships will comprise of a mix of virtual and in-field work. The location of the in-field work will depend on the location of the NGO that you are working with. Our partner NGOs operate across Africa, Asia Pacific and South America.

Q3 Offers internship opportunities to more than 100 interns per year.

What we offer

Who we look for:
- Open to university students and young professionals (less than 4 years since graduating).
- Available for a minimum internship duration of 6 weeks.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- You should be able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.
- Age: you must be at least 20 years old to apply.
- Languages: You should have an excellent command; both written and spoken of the English of French. A working knowledge of the other language (English of French) is an asset.
- Computer Skills: You must have an excellent knowledge of computer system and Office-related software
