Transform Health – Mid-Term Evaluation of Transform Health’s work

Background: Transform Health Association (THA) was established in 2019 with the overarching goal of creating an enabling environment for the equitable digital transformation of health systems to achieve universal health coverage (UHC) by the year 2030.

Our Role: Q3 Strategy undertook the Mid-Term Evaluation of Transform Health’s (TH) programmes of work. TH is a coalition of over 130 organizations and institutions from various sectors, that work together to harness the transformative benefits of digital technology and data to expand primary healthcare and achieve the SDG target of UHC by 2030. The coalition works on addressing barriers such as lack of internet connectivity, lack of digital literacy, and high costs of digital health tools and services, globally, regionally and in six priority countries: Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico and Senegal.

Approach: Q3 Strategy evaluated Transform Health’s organisational structure, ways of working, and programmes and projects. A full evaluation plan was developed, including a literature review, stakeholder mapping and development of data collection tools. Stakeholders engaged through interviews and FGDs include Government officials, NGOs and relevant private sector actors, alongside key programme stakeholders. The data collected will be used to develop country-level and overarching in-depth reports to make strategic recommendations that will inform the second phase of Transform Health’s work.
